Sample deliverables

Examples of what I send after a call.

These fictional composites show the depth and format of the follow-up—not a real client record, testimonial, legal determination, or promise of results.

Japan Tech Path Session

Sample 90-day plan.

Composite profile: backend engineer in Germany, five years of Python/AWS experience, computer-science degree, fluent English, early-intermediate Japanese, and a 12–18 month relocation goal.

Primary routeOverseas direct hire into an English-first product team
Best evidenceFive years of production ownership and measurable API impact
Main constraintSmall target market; Japanese not yet useful in mixed-language interviews

Likely route

Target mid-level backend roles at companies that explicitly interview overseas candidates and use English inside the engineering team. Do not run a broad “Japan developer” search. Keep a second route—building Japanese and seniority for six more months—if qualified interviews do not appear.

Days 1–30

Make the target testable

  • Build a 25-company list with team language, overseas hiring evidence, sponsorship wording, compensation range, and direct career URL.
  • Rewrite the first resume page around backend ownership, scale, reliability, and business outcomes.
  • Prepare four stories: architecture decision, incident, disagreement, and ambiguous delivery.
Days 31–60

Run a selective search

  • Submit four carefully matched applications per week; record the exact evidence used for each fit.
  • Practice the project introduction in English and simple Japanese; do not overstate Japanese ability.
  • Ask every recruiter about engineering language, overseas interview history, relocation timing, and work-status support.
Days 61–90

Use the results to adjust

  • No screens after 12 qualified applications: revise targeting and resume evidence.
  • Screens but no technical rounds: revise role fit and first-call stories.
  • Technical rounds but no final interviews: review depth, communication, and level calibration.

Japanese for Tech & Work

Sample correction notes.

Composite goal: explain one backend achievement naturally in a bilingual engineering interview. A real session would adjust the amount of Japanese and explanation to the learner’s level.

First attempt

前の会社では、APIを作って、遅い問題を直しました。

Clearer professional version

前職では、注文APIの設計と改善を担当し、95パーセンタイルの応答時間を1.8秒から650ミリ秒に短縮しました。

前の会社 → 前職

A concise professional expression for a previous employer.

作って → 設計と改善を担当し

Names your responsibility without implying that you did every part alone.

遅い問題 → a measured result

The number makes the technical impact understandable and gives the interviewer a useful follow-up question.

Next practice target: say the improved version once without notes, then answer 「どのように改善しましたか?」 in two or three sentences.
