Fresh satellite-operations and electronic-trading listings both welcome overseas applicants without Japanese, while demanding very different forms of production responsibility.

Two newly dated Tokyo listings remove two familiar barriers for international engineers: both say applications are open from abroad and Japanese is not required. The easier geography does not make either job broad-access, however. Each role asks candidates to take responsibility for systems where reliability matters in real time.
1. Synspective opens a satellite-planning interface role to overseas applicants
Synspective’s full-stack opening sits between satellite operations and software product work. The listing calls for business English, mid-level experience, TypeScript or JavaScript, modern front-end development, Go services, APIs, cloud architecture, and interactive data visualization. The successful candidate would build interfaces used to understand mission plans and operate the company’s spacecraft-control subsystem, with attendance at the Tokyo office expected two or three days a week. 2. Two Sigma’s entry point is junior-friendly but operationally demanding
Two Sigma’s production-engineering listing lowers the stated experience floor to one year, while putting the work close to live electronic-trading infrastructure. The responsibilities include low-latency automation, real-time monitoring, incident handling, deployments, capacity planning, and connectivity across regions. Python, Java, or C++ experience is relevant, Japanese is not required, and the page advertises overseas sponsorship. For applicants outside Japan, language and visa badges are only the first filter. These openings reward evidence that an engineer can operate consequential systems, communicate across specialist teams, and own reliability after software reaches production.
